Program areas at National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
Field operations and membership services. Through field and membership, we build strategies and engage with communities across the nation. This includes recruitment, retention, and growth of our global membership, implementing initiatives and member benefits which enhance the member experience.
Research and policy. Policy advocacy and research are embedded in all aspects of the naacp's programmatic work. We assess policies impacting the experience of black People and all persons of color and educate and inform key constituencies. Similarly, our emphasis on research promotes actionable data, research, and engagement tools for communities.
Civic engagement. Through policy advocacy, partnership, research, and mobilization, our civic engagement work amplifies community voices with a focus on issue-based campaigns and voting rights.
-membership services-naacp is responsible for any expenditures that relate to campaigns and activities that may be considered 501(c)(4) related activities. the National membership department which is responsible for the growth in the number of naacp members through the planning, structuring and directing of campaigns through naacp units, churches, donors and other organizations is managed by naacp empowerment programs, inc.
