National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices

The purpose of NCUTCD is to assist with the development of standards, guidelines, and warrants for traffic control devices and practices used to regulate, warn, and guide traffic on streets and highways, and to educate the public, further public safety, and stimulate research concerning traffic control. NCUTCD conducts one or more meetings per year where members and visitors meet to discuss national standards and specifications for traffic control devices and develop recommendations for changes to those standards. Attendees paid registration fees for the January 2021 meeting to cover costs.
