Program areas at NCCEP
Conference and Training Programs: For over 20 years, NCCEP has been convening the GEAR UP community to share best practices, create ongoing relationships, and refine educational strategies.Each year NCCEP sponsors technical assistance and capacity-building workshops, regional and national conferences, small-group learning community meetings, parental engagement programs, and advocacy workshops aimed at improving education outcomes and increasing the impact of community/education partnerships. Public Policy: NCCEP serves as GEAR UP's voice in Washington, DC through its public policy and advocacy work. Our public policy team works closely with the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, Congress, and education associations, to promote academic achievement and access to and success in higher education for low-income students. NCCEP works to build relationships with key policy makers and legislators to educate them on the importance of expanding and enhancing college access programs nationally.
Technical Assistance Programs: NCCEP is continually seeking new and innovative ways to assist GEAR UP programs in the improvement of their work with students, families, and staff. In addition to creating tools, NCCEP seeks to build strategic partnerships to provide resources and programs.See Schedule O for continuation.
