Program areas at National Day Laborer Organizing Network
Immigrant worker rights education & advocacy: ndlon works to ensure that the voice of the Day Laborer community is heard by promoting and facilitating models for their social and workforce integration. In order to effectively do this, ndlon trains, educates, connects and inspires Day laborers, organizers, and community organizations in local, regional, and National advocacy efforts that improve the lives of immigrants and protects and upholds their civil rights.
FISCAL SPONSORSHIP SERVICES: As a fiscal sponsor for start up organizations, NDLON fiscally sponsored projects that were also focused on directly serving the day laborer population and the broader immigrant community.
STRENGTHEN MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND WORKER CENTERS: NDLON connects local worker centers and day laborer organizations so that they can replicate proven effective strategies, share institutional wisdom, and deepen their role as a institution that builds community and economic opportunity. NDLON accomplishes this via coordinated trainings, trans-local campaigns, as well as by hosting regional and national gatherings of its members and partner organizations. NDLON also strengthens local organizations by expanding strategic partnerships with organizations that can provide added support to build key capacity and infrastructure.
