Program areas at National Diversity Council
Through memberships with corporate, government, and nonprofit partners and also individuals, National Diversity Council advances Diversity, equity and inclusion through certifications, consulting, educational events, and resources. The ndc certification program prepares professionals to lead successful Diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies for organizational excellence and innovation in today's global landscape. Ndc utilizes dei experts to offer strategic solutions to drive innovation and provide results tailored to organizational needs across all industry sectors. Ndc events aim to underscore the importance of Diversity, equity, and inclusion through impactful content that focuses on various groups, identities, industries, and workplace best practices. Events held in multiple markets include women in leadership summits and lgbtq summits. Events held at a National level include black men in leadership summit, latino leadership conference, veterans summit, and disability inclusion summit.in addition, the ndc emerging leaders internship program is a growing program which was initiated in 2018 and which aims to connect underrepresented college students to employers that value and promote diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces. In addition to completing the employer's intership tasks, interns also participate in dei training sessions, leadership development seminars, and meetings with fellow interns and mentors. The ndc has had 33 intern graduates to date, many who have received incredible employment opportunities following their time with the program.
