Program areas at National Relief Telecom
National Relief Telecom's mission is to offer low-cost, discounted telecommunications services or free additional usage in minutes, text, or data to low-income communities and underserved markets. National Relief Telecom will offer discounted or free services to subscribers and their immediate family members whose income is at or less than the federal poverty guidelines or who participate in state or federal assistance programs such as public housing assistance, supplemental nutrition assistance program (snap), medicaid, supplemental security income, the veterans and survivors pension benefit, or tribal assistance programs, National Relief Telecom will also offer these services to military veterans and the following first repsonders, law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians and their immediate family members.
Lastly, National releif Telecom will also provide services to subscribers affected by a National and natural disaster or those who need assistance during a pandemic or epidemic. As we have seen during many National disasters, many prople without phone service find themselves at a sever disadvantage, and covid 19 has shown us that many people who could afford phone service fall into hardships due to the loss of jobs and income. We want to ensure that in these two cases, low cost phone service or free services is attainable. National Relief Telecom will also provide Telecom services to other Telecom carriers and companies using its services provided to the same underserved market and subscribers, veterans and first responders.
National Relief Telecom will also offer these services to subscribers and their immediate family members in underserved rural and tribal areas. These are usually areas where Telecom services are limited or cost is higher than in non-rural areas. Our goal is to ensure everyone can have afrfordable telecommunications services.
