Sponsoring assembly bill 863 (aguiar-curry & dodd)in California which would reform the state's existing carpet Stewardship program.4. Supporting the bi-partisan introduction of s.1350 (merkley) and h.r.2964 (mcclain) wastewater infrastructure pollution prevention and environmental safety (wippes) acts in congress.5. Supporting and providing expert testimony for the folliwng in California: a. Assembly bill 622 (allen) which would eliminate an unnecessary mandate requiring licensed cannabis cultivators to affix a single-use plastic tag to each cannabis plant. B. senate bill 676 (allen) which would allow a city/county to enact or enforce any regulation that prohibits the installation of synthetic grass or artifical turf. C. assembly bill 1059 (friedman) which prohibits juvenile products, mattresses, or upholstered furniture that contains textile fiberglass, and restricts the use of flame-retardant chemicals in adult mattresses.6. Representing nsac and providing technical expertise via participation on: California's statewide commission on recycling markets and curbside recycling, solid waste association of north america advisory board (swanna), California green bond market development committee, mattress recycling organization advisory committee, and the north american hazardous materials management association (nahmma).
