National Task Group On Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia Practic

The NTG's function is to advocate for services and support for people with intellectual disabilities who are at risk of or who have developed Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia and their caregivers. In addition to advocacy, the NTG produces materials related to dementia and intellectual disabilities including practice guidelines, screening tools, education and training curricula and workshops for professional staff and families, agency and family-based information, and other technical materials as well as providing technical assistance to organizations seeking to increase their ability to provide dementia-capable care of adults with intellectual disabilities.
