The National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association provides education, training, and resources to those in the profession of wildlife rehabilitation, including environmental education and wildlife medicine. They are recognized for publishing one-of-a-kind, high quality volumes with current educational publications, website, courses, and training materials. NWRA sustains the efforts of dedicated Wildlife Rehabilitators and veterinarians who care for injured wild animals and educate concerned citizens about membership benefits.

Program areas at National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association

Annual symposiumnwra symposium 2023 was an in-person opportunity for Wildlife professionals worldwide to exchange new research and knowledge to improve the care of injured Wildlife in their region. This educational week occurred february 28 - march 3, 2023, in wilmington, Delaware. Symposium programming included lectures, hands-on workshops, seminars, roundtable discussions, field trips, a poster session, and networking opportunities. In total, over 140 hours of content were provided to attendees during the five days of concurrent programming.
Member benefitsnwra added new benefits to members in 2023 to serve our 1,548 members. Member benefits include discounts on nwra programs and publications, access to the community directory, member communications, access to the entire library of published Wildlife rehabilitation journal volumes and recorded symposia sessions, free access to birds of the world, free webinars, and access to read the newest edition of standard for Wildlife rehabilitation online.
Educational publications, courses, website, and training materialsnwra offered three race-approved, on-demand courses in 2023 to enhance the education of veterinary professionals on the care of injured Wildlife. In addition, nwra's developing leadership course hosted two cohorts of up-and-coming leaders in the field of animal welfare.
