Presentations, informational handouts, examples of native plants and answers to environmental concerns are addressed. Protecting and improving the air, water and land for future generations through educating the community, including sustainable gardening practice is what this program delivers.
Myers Way Experiential Learning Program. This environmental program removes invasive weed species and restores habitats with native plants near Myers Way Wetlands to protect the health of Puget Sound and its residents. The program mitigates past pollution runoff by supporting community based efforts to protect and improve the water quality of Puget Sound and its watersheds. The program offers volunteer participants ability to develop knowledge from a real-life hands-on environmental project broadening employment skills and expanding opportunities for a future career or job in an environmental profession.
