North Carolina Voters For Clean Elections (The organization) runs a communication table that organizes joint communication advocacy for democracy issues amoung allied organizations. The Organization built a pro -democracy coalition and worked to unify broad base support on key agenda items.The Organization worked to build unity among advocacy groups on issues regarding (1) structural democracy;(2) voting rights;(3)money in politics ;(4)government ethics and transparency;(5) redistricting;(6) judicial independence ;(7) protect dissent ; and (8) election and Constitutional crises prevention. In 2022 The Organization expanded effots to build a pro justice agenda and worked to unify broad base support.This included education and outside outreach to build community support for a judicial system that is centured around ;(1) fairness and impartiality; (2) based upon ethical and moral standards and the rule of law;;(3) unbeholden to monied interests or other individuals,groups or sector interests;(4) free from the sway of partisan politics ;(5) free from interference from other branches of government and ;(6) without racial or other systemic bias. In 2022 The Organization put together 12 press events on pending voting rights legislation, judicial independence and ethics in the courts, responding to election misinformation and general voter education for the 2022 election. The organization published 5 opinion editorials on TV, print and electronic media. The Organization developed the ideas behind NC Senate Bill 916, known as the Safeguarding Fair Elections Act.The bill saught to provide criminal penalties for itimidation of Election officials and t protect voters from coersion on or before election day.
