With duke energy renewable energy (mass market product) donors switching over to support solar+ schools in 2022, there are currently 678 electric utility customers subscribed to the renewable energy product, providing a premium above the usual monthly utility payments to support approximately 8,502,593 kwh of energy annually coming from renewable energy instead of traditional sources such as coal.
For the duke energy donors who switched to support solar+ schools, the program had 4,516 contributors.
For carbon offsets, 244 electric utlity customers subscribed to support the mitigation of 2,319 tons of carbon dioxide.
