Program areas at Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building Project
Purchase and installation of furniture, window blinds, and interior signage. Furniture includes 200 all purpose chairs, 25 round tables, 20 rectangular seminar tables with 40 seminar chairs. Blinds are for inside of 50 windows. Also included are two seminar presentation monitors, three interior directional signs and eight room identification signs.
Maintenance of public meeting space, offices, and auditorium. Fees are collected to offset operating expenses and maintenance to continue the availability of the building for future activities. The year resulted in the use of meeting rooms for eight meetings, six parties, seven auditorium events, one sales event, and one children's event in the adjacent parking lot. Two offices are in long-term leases. Veteran organizations are using office and meeting space free of charge and special events happen in the building for Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
Purchase and installation of exterior and interior security cameras and access control equipment for exterior doors. Four exterior doors received access equipment to limit and monitor access to the building. Two interior security cameras and four exterior security cameras were installed with appropriate operating systems and recording capability.
