Lending: home repair loans and down payment assistance: nhp served 28 clients under the home repair program in 2023 (26 grants; 2 loans). We provided 1 usda packaging, assisted 41 additional households utilizing lender down payment funds, and facilitated 59 home purchases for first-time homebuyers.
Real estate development: in 2023, nhp started contruction on a 60-unit senior affordable apartment complex. All apartments will be completely handicap accessible. 32 units were completed in 2023 and the remaining will be completed in 2024. Nhp also completed 3 affordable homes for low to moderate income households. 1 was sold in 2023 and the remaining 2 will be sold in 2024.
Education & counseling: homebuyer education program: 56 individuals completed our homebuyer education course in 2023, 83 received individual credit counseling, and 88 received "streamlined" homebuyer counseling under ohfa/hoepa guidelines. 164 attended financial literacy workshops through our partnerships with clark county department of job and family services, united senior services and various houses of worship.
Foreclosure counseling: counseling and foreclosure prevention nhp assisted a total of 9 households in 2023, 2 cases closed by year-end and counted as foreclosure saves.
