2023-NPI property holding/Management for others: NPI collaborates with neighborhood anchor institutions and other local community development partners to hold and maintain real estate in certian target neighborhoods in order to stabilize it and land bank it for use in future neighborhood revitalization efforts that align with the mission and goals of NPI.
NPI eviction intervention and prevention work: NPI coordinates and facilitates a collaborative process of eviction data collection, landlord/tenant outreach and eviction intervention. NPI and its partners deliver assistance to tenants facing eviction in order to either prevent their eviction by direct payments to their landlords in exchange for the dismissal of eviction cases or to assist tenants who have been evicted in pursuing alternative housing using direct payments to those displaced tenants. direct payments to those displaced tenants.
