NeighborWorks Northeast Nebraska is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was created to provide affordable housing opportunities to low-to-moderate income families and individuals. The organization manages the following four programs: Purchase/Rehab/Resell Program, New Construction, Homebuyer Education, Financial Pathways. Our mission is to develop housing opportunities, empower individuals and families, and revitalize and strengthen communities. To be the first choice for housing assistance, development, and education services in Nebraska.

Program areas at NeighborWorks Northeast Nebraska

Purchase / rehabilitation / resell program - provide no interest loans to low to moderate income individuals and families for the purchase of a home.
Homebuyer education program - provide educational services to communities. Education workshops are 8 hours in length. The curriculum for the attendees includes the following topics: understanding credit, budgeting/money management, pre-qualifying versus per-approval, upfront cost/moving-insurance-closing, pros and cons of homeownership, choosing the right home, maintenance and equipment needed, insurance/taxes/valuations, and being a good neighbor.
New construction program - provide no interest loans to low to moderate income individuals and families for the purchase of a newly constructed home.
Money management program (aka financial pathways) - provide education services to communities. The curriculum for the attendees includes three 45 minute classes of financial coaching concentration on budgeting, debt and credit.
