Program areas at Network Delaware
Leadership Development. 1. We publicly released our Change Agent Guidebook with key lessons on how people can get involved in their own communities, instilling justice and equity practices into their organization or group, and how to form effective Delaware teams. 2.We increased the number of participants who increase their civic leadership from ~60 to 100 as measured by our 5-point internal Civic Leadership ladder we developed (ensure at least 60% are Black/Brown volunteers).
Volunteer engagement 1. Annual survey question to participants "Network Delaware has helped me improve my own skills and ability to create change" = 9.21 in 2022 (up from 8.69 in 2021 and 8.4 in 2020). Move to 9.6 by 2024-2025. 2. Annual survey question to participants "I feel motivated being around other Network Delaware members and volunteers" = 9.64 in 2022 (up from 9.28 in 2021 and 8.8 in 2020). Move to 9.8 by 2024-2025. 3. Annual survey question to participants "Effectiveness of volunteer involvement" = 8.63 in 2022 (up from 8.07 in 2021 and 8 in 2020). Move to 9.5 by 2024-2025.
Civic Engagement We increased the number of community partners we support from 5 to 9 in order to help them grow the Civic Leadership of their members. (e.g., The Latin American Community Center, New Castle County Youth Planning Board, Public Allies, etc.). We increased the percentage of participants who strongly agree with the statement "I would recommend Network Delaware to others" to over 97% (as evidenced by our annual survey). We maintained/exceeded our 60% threshold for volunteer leadership positions being held by individuals of color and supporting their Civic Leadership growth.
