Program areas at New Day Orphanage
Purchase building supplies to construct, improve, and maintain New Day Orphanage, including cement, paint, windows, doors, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, and lumber. Build dormatories, school rooms, libraries, guest houses, roads.
Combined volunteer teams and operation of Orphanage. The ongoing operation of New Day Orphanage, including weekly groceries, care for children medical visits, clothing, education, propane gas for kitchen stoves, fuel for running generators, and the housing of volunteer teams from the united states who come to zambia and volunteer at the Orphanage. Develop agricultural programs to help the Orphanage become self sufficient and teach the orphans ways to become independent as adults.
Using mapanza workers--the employment of local zambian workers to construct buildings, dig water wells, and make other building improvemens at New Day Orphanage and to serve as teachers, social workers, cooks, maintenance employees, house parents, security guards, general workers, and volunteers.
