Program areas at New England Independent Booksellers Assn
Annual Conference and Trade Show - as one of the organizations substantial activities, this event gathers booksellers, authors, publishers, distributors, and industry vendors, members and non-members alike, to promote the trade and products. Furthermore, it educates people about new products, services, techniques, and developments in the trade. It is also the site of the associations annual meeting.
Annual catalogue - a promotional catalogue program to help foster interest in reading and the sale of books. Copies were circulated to bookstores and readers around New England.
Educational seminars - programs to help booksellers, members, and non-members, generate more interest and knowledge in the trade and the products/books they sell. Informal gatherings were convened by the association where members in various geographic areas in New England discuss business topics of general interest, share ideas and work on resolving common problems and issues.
