Program areas at New Jersey Propane Education and Research Foundation
Cetp courses: the certified employee training program (cetp) was developed to provide trainers and employers a formal structure for training employees, testing knowledge, and documenting their sucessful completion of a training program. Combining hands-on-practice with written activities, cetp assures that workers have the knowledge and skills needed to do their jobs safely. In response to nj regulations, courses were offered throughout the year in nj.
Nj clean cities coalition membership - provides access to meetings and events throughout the year to build on njperc's engine fuel initiatives and give nj fleet buyers and Propane industry representatives an up-close look at the latest vehicle offerings.
Njperf media relations campaign - this campaign will raise awareness of the nj energy master plan and its negative impacts on Propane consumers. This will be done by identifying case studies and comparisons among electricity, Propane, coal, and other fossil fuels. This project is considered beneficial in the way njperf educates nj consumers on the choice and benefits of Propane. The campaign messaging will be limited to consumer Education and safety, and no funds will be used to support lobbying activities or initiatives.
New Jersey bus contractors association membership - provided direct access to njsbca members who are owners and top decision makers of the leading school bus contractors across the state. Through this connection, we are able to promote Propane as a promising alternative fuel for school buses in nj because it is widely available, costs less than diesel or gasoline, and is non-toxic, non-poisonous, and safe in the air we breathe.
