Program areas at NJVOAD
Statewide and national Disaster resiliency- building resiliency and prioritizing preparedness in our communities requires the cultivation and maintenance of strong relationships among non-profit, private sector and governmental entities. New Jersey voad builds these relationships statewide by promoting communication, coordination, cooperation and collaboration through the convening of meetings, trainings.in 2023, in response to hurrican ida and other major distruptive events: we conducted over 100 statewide coordination and workgroup meetings addressing food, housing, emotional and spiritual health, and other needs of survivors.
Through our volunteer portal, we recruited, background checked, and referred 4000 volunteers to be utilized in support of New Jersey Organizations and agencies response to community needs.
