New Mexico Association of Student Councils fosters an exchange of ideas and problem-solving strategies, while encouraging the practice of the democratic process, citizenship, and service. The organization's vision is to create opportunities for student leaders throughout New Mexico. They host conferences across the country, with their next one taking place in February 2023 at Volcano Vista High School in Albuquerque with the theme "Let Your Leadership Soar." The national vision conference, st. louis, mo area; hosted at collinsville high school, collinsville, il -conference theme: destination leadership - where dreams come true -value inspire share insight opportunity network - is created from the vision of Student reps and state execs from the region-6 states, that has become a national platform leadership annual event -nmasc delegation - 44 37 students grades 8-12; 7 advisors delegates from aztec hs,bernalillo hs, dulce hs/ms, lovington hs, nex+gen hs, organ mountain hs, rio rancho hs and nmasc executive board. 2022-2023 member schools: member school attendance: 115 (highschool and middle level) nmasc 2023 kudos: - check out our New website nmasc.org: go to service tab, scroll to 2023, 2022, and 2021 project of the year entries in our 10 project categories. Kudos to all Student Councils across the state for their marvelous leadership back in person, and in two pandemic years. - mary hahn - executive director was a recipent of the first awarding of the jim finnemeyer service award at the 2023 national vision conference. - june 2024 - the national vision converence will be hosted by rio rancho and nmasc in New Mexico.
