Program areas at New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force

The Task Force is creating a Breastfeeding supportive community to bridge the gap in breastfeeding/chestfeeding disparities by ensuring all families have the support they need to reach their goals and is committed to increasing Breastfeeding initiation, duration and exclusivity. Through the state sponsored wic peer counseling program, funding from the w.k. Kellogg foundation and the annual conference, we are providing Breastfeeding support, counseling, education and technical assistance to New Mexico families, hospitals, clinics, employers, healthcare professionals and communities.
