Identify and engage with populations located in high social vulnerability index SVI zones and those who have been historically marginalized including Black African American Indigenous and Latinx Hispanic populations amongst others; Collaborate to strengthen local resource networks and improve vaccine access; Integrate the community outreach and engagement model into existing or new organizational structure; Contribute to improvements and adaptations of the vaccine equity model through full participation. Provide designated supervision and support for CHWs utilizing guidance and tools provided by CHWI.
Served as local outreach and education partner as part of the National Alliance for Hispanic Health's "Todos Juntos: All of US" research program. Provided multiple community presentations to over 3000 people. Executed social media campaign.
NMCHWA partnered with New Mexico's Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program to advance a Community-centered Health Equity Project in southern New Mexico. They developed and adapted operational plans engaged local communities and health workers to share findings established goals to address key screening barriers and evaluated the effectiveness of their strategies in promoting cancer screening.
