Our purpose is to educate visitors as well as teach about other genocides and forms of bullying that have affected people around the world. We are not limited to one religion, culture, geographic area or time. In the 2023-2024 school year, we hosted 16 school visits with almost 500 students from the State of New Mexico. During this fiscal year, we were also visited by over 1200 people based on our admissions revenue.-We initiated a speaker series with five events that averaged more than 65 people per event. These events were free to the public.-We launched an exhibit design program in local high schools led by our education coordinator who worked with the students to identify and research a topic followed by creating a new exhibit at the museum. More than 25 people, including the students, attended the exhibit opening.-We offered two professional development opportunities for New Mexico teachers attended by more than 15 people.-We created an interactive exhibit called Witnessing Justice at Nuremberg: Nazi War Crimes Trials Through the Eyes of New Mexicans Dorothy Adams Greene and Lawrence Rhee. The opening event for this exhibit was attended by 60 people.-We created a traveling exhibit called 400 Years of African-American Upstanders that was debuted at a Juneteenth event on Albuquerque Civic Plaza and was on display for a month at the South Broadway Cultural Center Library.
