New Mexico Nurse Practitioner Council's mission is to unite nurse practitioners in promoting excellence in practice and optimal patient care. The council strives to protect and promote nurse practitioners' professional development by providing accredited continuing education programs. Program areas at New Mexico Nurse Practitioner Council

Our primary service is providing accredited continuing education for Nurse practitioners in New Mexico. During fy 2023, we had a three-day conference that allowed for conference attendees to earn up to 24.75 contact hours. This conference had the required non-cancer pain management ce and also had preconference workshops that allowed for conference attendees to get hands-on experience in many specialty areas. In nov 2023 we held a one-day conference that provided 8 hours of continuing education. In addition, we maintained our newsletter to keep nps in New Mexico abreast of important professional, policy, and clinical information.
