Program areas at NMOGA
Annual industry/agency meeting - nmoga is dedicated to promoting the safe and responsible development of Oil and Gas resources in New Mexico through advocacy, collaboration, and education. The annual meeting for 2023 was themed "energizing New Mexico". Working with nationwide associations and alliances in the Oil & Gas industry provides a platform to speak about the on-going challenges. Nmoga also has several committee meetings to learn about regulatory, environmental, legal, governmental issues ongoing.
Regulatory work - industry's position is to mitigate climate change risks and develop solutions. The industry is committed to improving environmental performance by deploying innovative technologies and implementing best practices.
Education efforts - nmoga promotes a better understanding of the impacts, benefits, and contributions of the Oil and Gas industry to the public and strengthens relationships and connections with the industry's role in public schools. Some examples are, but not limited to: (fueling nm report, brighter future fund, and back to school, nm teacher of the year).
