Program areas at New Missions
New Missions employs the following model to accomplish its mission: Plant a church, establish a school, and provide food, clothing and medical care to poverty-stricken individuals in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The core measurement for the Organization's ministry growth is the number of children served. It is the Organization's goal to grow conservatively each year in order to run an effective operation while maintaining a consistent support base to assure longevity and impact from these efforts. It is the Organization's goal to plant and establish a new mission site annually to reach new people who do not yet have access to education, food or medical care in Haiti using three criteria: Lack of Gospel influence; Lack of resources in the community - school, water, medical care; and availability of trained leadership who the Organization can place in care of the new mission site. During the fiscal year 2014, the Organization established its 28th church and elementary school in the mountain region of Decouze, Haiti. During the school year, 2 million meals are prepared and served to our students. In the Fall of 2014, we hosted the second year of our professional trade school in Haiti providing training in construction skills. Over the time period of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, nine brand new buildings were completed at New Missions campuses in Haiti, including three churches, two warehouses, three kitchens, and a high school classroom building. The Organization now has 32 Haitian nurses serving communities across the Leogane Plain, Haiti. Each month, the Organization's medical clinic cares for over 1,000 patients.
