Program areas at New Roots Haiti
The New Roots Farm continued operations as it had in the past. We raised chickens hogs and cows. We provided cultivation within the community of Chiron and assisted and facilitated in the growth of corn. We operated a feed mill and produced poultry and hog feed.
We continued to invest in building buildings to create local jobs and provide areas for our programs to function.
The community center provides education through sports literacy and various programs to 260 children in the area of Chiron. The programs changed throughout the year. During this year we had many children not able to attend school due to political unrest so we created programming specifically to keep them active and learning during that time.
