Instructional coaching: prepares instructional coaches to accelerate New and veteran teachers' instructional practices through on the job coaching. Based on our proven Teacher induction model, coaching develops the expertise of Teacher leaders to support the professional growth of individuals or teams of teachers. The priority focus is on disrupting educational inequities by addressing content standards, social and emotional learning, and diverse learning needs. With quality coaching, educators are prepared to help students meet higher, more rigorous standards. Ntc-supported coaches work with teachers using research-based tools and strategies to assess and advance instructional practice so that every student is successful
Adaptive consultation: the New Teacher Center works to create equitable, coherent systems within states, districts, and schools. In addition to our deep work with Teacher induction and instructional coaching, New Teacher Center works with school leaders, early learning programs, academic and assessment departments, and district leaders to provide partner-specific consultation around areas of need. Our adaptive consultation approach is grounded in partner needs, as identified through quantitative and qualitative data points. This can include actions such as school and district level audits to help uncover challenges to be addressed through data assessment, consulting, and coaching. Each adaptive consultation partnership is unique to the partner while grounded in the historic strengths of the New Teacher Center.
