Continued advocacy for greater access to Solar for residents, businesses and localities. * nyseia continued its advocacy for greater access to distributed Solar Energy generation for New York residents, businesses, and localities. * nyseia worked with Association members, partner organizations, and New York state legislators and officials to aid in the continued implementation of ny-sun initiatives and state targets for renewable Energy. Nyseia engaged nyserda and other agencies in discussion on Solar incentive levels, and property tax. Issues around interconnection of Solar Energy development with the grid remained a priority. The Association also worked on issues of rate design, siting of Energy projects,and regional Energy issues in long island. * nyseia hosted a Solar policy summit in albany, highlighting challenges and opportunities for Solar in New York state in december 2022.
Nyseia continued working with nyserda to discuss the ny-sun program, permitting, and property tax issues. These issues impact the ability of Solar to be deployed in New York. Nyseia work on interconnection of Solar development projects continued to be a priority for 2022. Nyseia leads the efforts on two working groups with the state and utilities to make improvements on the technical side as well as the policy side of interconnection. Nyseia continues to serve its members and the needs of the New York Solar market by serving as a clearinghouse for all things Solar. Nyseia provides information to our members via conference calls and regular update emails.
