Newhouse Wildlife Rescue Corporation is a Wildlife rehab facility that is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to injured or orphaned local Wildlife. During 2023, the organization provided care for 426 animals, added a new semi-aquatic enclosure, and began raising funds for a new Wildlife clinic. Other accomplishments during the year include: one of their beaver's, nibi, being profiled in national geographic kids magazine; they were able to successfully Rescue and release phoenix, a fox whose leg was amputated after being caught in a leg-hold trap; rescued and released four additional foxes, including hope, a fox who adopted and raised three orphaned kits from three different mothers; they were able to gain legislative support for campaigns against leg-hold traps and rodenticides. The organization also educates the public on how to co-exist with the wild animals that surround us, they spoke at over a dozen schools and libraries during the year, as part of their new educational program.
