Grantmaking: -increased philanthropic investment through grantmaking, capacity building, and collaborative partnerships, with and for organizations and groups working on gender justice and healing, working to support adolescent Girls of color, and working on healthy masculinities initiatives. -conducted a 7th year of regranting for the gender justice grant portfolio to 18 current partners and New organizations statewide. -awarded a 5th year of regranting through the adolescent Girls of color portfolio to 17 current partners and New organizations statewide. -awarded 24 grants through our healing award portfolio. -awarded 10 discretionary grants to various organizations and agencies supporting gender justice and healing. -strengthened the gender justice movement and efforts in New Mexico by partnering primarily with organizations led by, or serving Women, Girls, and gender expansive folks of color, as well as low income and rural communities working to support gender justice in New Mexico.
Research: -nmw.o worked throughout 2023 with the center for social policy at unm on a 2024 status of Women and Girls research project.
Training & education: -worked throughout 2023 in coalition with partners around the state, as the nm healthy masculinities collaborative, to collaborate on various trainings and gather with organizations around the state working on healthy masculinity in their communities. -convened the 'fostering gender and racial justice and healing community of practice' for funders around the state to engage throughout the year and explore tools and practices for how the philanthropic sector can foster healing and justice in our state. -nmw.o worked throughout 2023 to complete a New Mexico gender justice advocacy and policy landscape assessment.
