Newport Developmental Center

The organization's primary purpose is providing therapeutic day services and education for handicapped children as well as typically developing children. During fiscal year ended 6/30/12 the Organization donated the existing building and land to the Carteret County Board of Education. This gift must be used, to a significant degree, for educational and related services to children with disabilities for a period of not less than 10 years. The Center was a developmental school which helped children with learning disabilities as well as typically developing children.
