Newton County Family Connection

Family Connection: providing activities serving children and their families in order to improve school performance, including entry into school with requisite skills, reduced need for remediation services, and increase attendance and grade progression; improve Family functioning, including Family stability and reduce incidence of child abuse; and improve Family economic capacity, including community job training and employment, housing, and community economic development; providing an urban health and wellness program to promote healthy children and families through proper nutrition and exercise; substance abuse, mental health and suicide prevention; and providing a Family literacy initiative through safe and stable environments supporting intergenerational literate activities and parent supports.
