Program areas at NextFifty Initiative
Through 5/12/16, innovage foundation focused on securing broad-based community support for the programs and services of total community options, inc. dba innovage. The foundation educated the community and obtained financial support from a variety of funding sources to include individuals, corporations, and foundations. The foundation's operations were fully subsidized by innovage, which ensured that 100% of all contributions were utilized for program support as directed by the donor. In addition to donor cultivation and recognition, the foundation worked collaboratively within the organization to ensure that gifts were administered appropriately and in accordance with donor intent. As of 5/13/16, the foundation is now operating under a new model, as Nextfifty Initiative. Nextfifty's renewed purpose is to promote independence and dignity for the aging population, to include the needs of low and moderate income persons, encompassing individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities, by encouraging and supporting innovative, affordable and coordinated services and initiatives. Nextfifty Initiative is now an independent, Colorado based, nonprofit organization, dedicated to funding mission-driven initiatives that improve community services for the elderly population and caregivers. This newly formed foundation will seek, vet and fund game-changing breakthroughs to improve and sustain quality of life for people in the second 50 years of their life via grants and financial support to organizations committed to the elderly population and their caregivers. The Nextfifty Initiative will provide stringent measures for all outcomes, educate about proven initiatives and advocate for transformational change for all people in their second 50 years. We consider ourselves an engine for innovation that transforms aging. Our work will impact life for generations to come.
