Program areas at NextGen America
Field organizing programnextgen America maintained a successful grassroots voter contact program throughout the year. These efforts included education, registration, issue organizing, and mobilization of young voters between the ages of 18 and 35. Young voters are essential to determining the long-term strength of our democracy and they are more likely to vote when engaged through year-round programs that empower them to elevate their voices to create a better future they envision.
Digital and distributed organizingthe digital and distributed organizing programs focus on direct voter contact and engagement through email, calls, and texts. The digital team's focus is concentrated on online organizing via email and Nextgen America's website. The website is a data-hub, featuring a voter registration portal, events, ways to engage in civic Action, and volunteer opportunities. The distributed organizing program cultivates and manages a nationwide team of volunteers to contact young voters directly with the goal of educating them about when and how to vote as well as other ways to engage in the democratic process.
Communicationsnextgen America's communications team focuses on leveraging social and traditional media outlets and mail to reach large audiences of young people, engage them in the democratic process and amplify their voices. The program includes extensive polling and data analysis operations to ensure the most effective messages are reaching as many young people as possible.
