Founded in 2001 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association, Nextup partners with national and local organizations to deliver hands-on leadership opportunities, networking, and learning programs dedicated to advancing all Women. 2023 was a year of change and growth for Nextup. We took our organization to new heights and showed the strength of our amazing Network at a record-breaking summit! With a sold-out crowd of 1500+! We learned, we laughed, and were delighted by incredible surprises like barbie becoming an official member. Summit was the capstone of a powerhouse year where we came together more than ever before. Our regions hosted a new high of 214 events in 2023, with roughly 18,000 registrants (continued on schedule o) and our hq learning events connected with another 18,000 more.2023 also saw the launch of the 'you are Nextup' campaign, featuring posters of dozens of our amazing members and allies as the heroes they are. Nextup is nothing without our Network of 17,000+ Women and advocates, and 'you are Nextup' truly shows the breadth of our community. From future Nextup members to the c-suite, 'you are Nextup' is about you - the beating heart of our organization.in 2023, we began a significant transformation to rebuild our resources through: increased donor support and revenue growth; reduced administrative expenses; and improved member experience. We have planted "green shoots" to deepen member engagement, while re-directing limited resources toward our most critical priorities. Our volunteers remain of core importance to our model, managing membership, programming, and events for our corporate partners and regions. This strong foundation in a member-first model, anchored by 21 regions, and over 17,000+ Women and advocates that continues to grow.while we were able to stabilize and turnaround revenue in the second half of 2023, economic headwinds continued to challenge our cultivation of new business partnerships and donor contributions. Nonetheless, the commitment of our members, staff, volunteers, and corporate partners solidifies our pledge to the resources, technology, and value proposition that will help us meet the evolving needs of our existing stakeholders and attract new ones.through it all, we forwarded our mission. We pushed forward alongside the corporate partners who make our work possible, the volunteers who support our work every step of the way, the ambassadors who get their teams engaged, and the members, who are Nextup.
