Program areas at Norman Care-A-Vans

We provide free transportation to unhoused individuals so they can access essential services and participate in community life. We provide on-demand point-to-point services M-F during business hours. We also run morning and evening shuttles to/from Food & Shelter (a centralized service location) from/to various shelter facilities. We have given rides to approximately 300 distinct individuals over the year, with many regular riders.
We deliver donated meals to unsheltered folks on M-Th in the evening. We provide 50 meals per day. This program was started by a group of individuals in 2020; we took over in May 2023.
We help people find minimal shelter in all weather conditions, from tents to motel rooms. We also provide supplies - from camping gear to food to medical support - for unhoused folks.
