Program areas at North American Thrombosis Forum

Various educational conferences and seminars are held through out the year. National and international leaders in the field of thrombosis are invited to present papers at this 1-day symposiums. The programs provide a concise state-of-the-art overview of prophylaxis measures and critical developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of thrombotic disorders. Many Thrombosis programs are CME accredited for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, reflecting NATF's multi-disciplinary approach. Summit contents are documented and available either through the NATF website and/or CD-ROM obtainable through NATF.
Thrombosis & thromboembolism: natf hosted a 2-day hybrid cme program at the fairmont copley plaza hotel in boston, ma. This program brought together over 20 world-renowned faculty to educate a global audience about updates in diagnostic, treatment, and prevention practices in venous and arterial Thrombosis.
Transgender: natf published an action initiative in endocrine practice that identified multidisciplinary best practices for vte prevention and treatment in transgender patients, and identified knowledge gaps and areas for future research. In 2022, natf launched an education program focused on raising awareness in the transgender community about vte prevention, symptoms, and risk factors. The program will also include tools to optimize patient-provider communication. Work is ongoing for this project.
"cholesterol wars": natf hosted a series of 4-webinars that discussed some of the key issues in cholesterol management. Each webinar had a host, and 2-3 faculty. The webinars were hosted every friday for the month of september 2022. The enduring content is posted on mycme.com
