Program areas at North Haven Sustainable Housing

NHSH provides affordable year-round housing for the year-round residents of North Haven. NHSH has housed several island families through renovation and new construction for both rental and home-ownership, as well as conducting home energy audits and weatherization for year-round island homes.Accomplishments: In FY 23-24 the organization started the construction of 3 new rental units and 2 home ownership opportunities. In FY 23-24 we continued to provide reduced rate rentals to 4 households. In FY 23-24 we engaged with hundreds of community members through events, newsletters, or social media campaigns. In FY 23-24 we raised close to a million dollars through fundraising events or campaigns to support the Our Island Home campaign, supporting the development of five affordable rental units and five home ownership opportunities.
