North Valley Food Bank

North Valley Food Bank (nvfb) builds Food security and strengthens communities. Nvfb facilitated 19,772 pantry visits in 2023 and provided Food assistance to 4,402 unique individuals through our local distribution in whitefish and our mobile pantries in neighboring communities. We also delivered 227,365 pounds of Food to rural partner pantries in glacier and lincoln county. Additionally, nvfb started multiple nutrition and culinary education programs this year, including a community meals program, a junior chef summer camp and a shared community kitchen. The shared community kitchen will be available to rent for small business owners. Finally, nvfb strengthened the community-based Food acquisition, processed 1,098 pounds of wild game and rescued 207,109 pounds of Food from the landfill through our Food rescue program.
