Northeast Ohio Alliance for Hope is committed to revitalizing East Cleveland, Ohio by building its social and economic capital. It organized a network of neighborhood groups in East Cleveland to address quality of life issues specific to each neighborhood. These groups are made up of everyday residents who come together in an organized fashion to identify solutions. NOAH also worked with the City of East Cleveland and CSU to complete a visioning plan for the community, which serves as a precursor to the Master Plan and creates a general framework on how to ensure a better future for the city.

Program areas at NOAH

Reimagine Pattison Park: Reimagine Pattison Park is a comapign initiated by NOAH in 2015. The goal of this campaign is to simply bring residents, community stakeholders and resources together to make Pattison Park into a vibrant, safe place of outdoor recreation for the community. In this fiscal year, NOAH has provided property managment services, programming nad hosted family friendly events at Pattison Park.
Neighborhood Groups: NOAH organized a network of neighborhood groups in East Cleveland to address neighborhood specific, quality of life issues in East Cleveland. Comprised of every day period, these residents come together in an organized fasion to identify issues street by street In partnership with the City Administration and Council, these neighborhood groups have been able to direct City resources to address neighborhood specific, quality of life priorities identified thorugh this structure.
East Cleveland Park Plan: The County Planning Commission is currently preparing an East Cleveland Park Plan. This plan will access all East Clevelands Park space, its current conditions, ways to improve those conditions, maintenance strategies, and potential funding. NOAH worked with the City of East Cleveland to prepare the proposal that led to the CCPC to condue this study and serve on the project team.
East Cleveland Visioning Plan: NOAH worked with the City of East Cleveland and CSU to complete a visioning plan for the community of East Clevealnd. The Vision Plan serves as a precursor to the Master Plan and is designed to create a general framework on how development shouldhappen in East Cleveland. We anticipant policy recommendations and best practices that would help guide the City of East Cleveland and NOAH to ensure responsible development and community benefit.
Campaign for Responsible Development: It is our goal to advocate for responsible development in the community of East Cleveland. To that end, development should be transparent, invite community input, align with community values, and priortize community benefit. During this fiscal year, NOAH advocated for community involvment in development decisions concerning the city. We also supported city planning initiatives thorugh community engagement.
COVID Response: Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, NOAH has worked on the frontlines in partnerships with the City of East Cleveland, Cuyahoga County Board of Health, churches, and other community stakeholders to provide COVID testing, COVID vaccines, resources and information to East Cleveland residents.
