United Healthcare Action Network Anti Racism in Hospital Settings Our work to confront antiracism in the hospital setting. Confronting antiracism is an evolving process that allows people to explore and acknowledge their own explicit and implicit biases and address external and internal racism. Addressing racism is more challenging for institutions. Health care systems, like all institutions that in a racist culture, must address not just the diversity of staff at all levels, but the implicit biases of staff and the policies and and practices that perpetuate, reinforce and amplify systemic and institutional racism. This includes examining intake policies, the use of racial modifiers in medical algorithms, and patient protocols.
Center for Black Health and Equity Healthy Food Initiative working to educate Cleveland residents on the importance of healthy eating. We are also advocating for Cleveland legislation that requires sodium warnings on fast food restaurant menus.
