Developed and held 10 webinars with almost 6,000 registrants. -topics included: growing the upcycled food economy -achieving net zero ghg's in the solid waste industry -Recycling economic information studies -fate of non-organic packaging materials from de-packaging operations -post-consumer recycled content mandates -markets for finished compost - opportunities & trends -food waste reduction -epr for gas cylinders -low carbon concrete -avoiding organics contamination 3. Implemented grants and projects, and provided technical assistance and training, -worked to iimprove glass Recycling markets; -providing research and recommendations for chemical substances of concern in consumer packaging, and coordination of information in packaging laws around the country -worked to increase the use of post-consumer plastic resin in products and packaging, -worked with more than 200 entities around the country to increase the use of products with post-consumer recycled content, decrease the use of energy and paper, and ensure responsible electronics Recycling at the end of life. -wrote & published documents supporting Recycling and Recycling markets. -provided fiscal and administrative support to the recyclect foundation -researched information about individual mrfs around the u.s. -engaged in efforts to define and assess recyclability and circularity in the u.s. -worked with states around the country to improve end-of-life Recycling of consumer electronics4. Updated, wrote and posted 81 new documents and recordings, and three revised documents. In addition, all webinar recordings (10) and more than 30 powerpoint presentations.5. Published weekly blogs and 11 electronic newsletters. 6. Maintained active facebook and twitter accounts, with 3,725 twitter followers 973 facebook followers. 352 linkedin followers.7. Maintains three listservs: dei connect (national discussion about diversity, equity and inclusion), eppnet (national discussion about green procurement); and organics management.8. Maintained a dynamic website. During fy 2022, averaged more than 13,000 visits per month - a 21% increase from the previous fiscal year; and more than 24,000 page views per month, also an increase of 21% from the previous year.9. Through its national state electronics challenge program, nerc worked with government entities and charitable organizations representing more than 233,000 employees, in 39 states and the district of columbia to promote the purchase of greener electronic office equipment, reduce the impacts during use through energy and paper conservation, and manage obsolete electronic office equipment in an environmentally safe way. The organizations were provided with educational resources and technical assistance in support of their efforts.the actions of 21 organizations participating in the state electronics challenge achieved significant, measurable, environmental benefits as a results of their green purchasing, power and paper management and responsible Recycling of electronic office equipment: -avoided energy use equivalent to the amount of energy used by 11,579 households per year -avoided greenhouse gases equivalent to removing 1,394 cars from the road/year -avoided the use of toxic materials equivalent to the weight of 1,556 bricks -avoided solid waste generation equivalent to the amount of waste generated by 4,101 households per year -avoided the generation of hazardous waste equivalent to the weight of 16 refrigerators10. Blended value of a mrf tonnerc conducts a quarterly survey with associated reports about the blended value of a mrf ton. In fy 2022 four reports were published.
