To protect the lives oand property of bloomington, Indiana residents from fires and to save lives by providing emergency medical services.
Fire prevention and education programs for community. Fire preventions programs for children to further their long-standing committment to life safety education. The department provides fire prevention programs and education to local schools, head start, boys and girls clubs, day care facilities, summer camps, and festivals throughout Monroe and surrounding counties. Christmas for the kids program
In 2010, through the national safe kids campaign (nscps) training program the department established a permanent seat fitting station and joined the local safe kids coalition through iu health bloomington hospital and healthcare system. Continued community gathering for education and support of the fire department for awareness.
