Program areas at Northern VIRGINIA Mental HEALTH FOUNDATION
Included among the grants the Foundation provides are those to individuals who are currently in treatment for mental illness for basic needs and services to enhance the quality of their lives and aid in their recovery. The Foundation funds medical co-pays for some of these individuals in treatment.
Mental Health Awareness Event that featured local dignitaries and information about local mental health resources and local mental health unmet needs.
Grants to individuals provided funding for necessary services for individuals with mental health challenges and recovery therefrom. Examples include: urgent dental care, job training, weight reduction programs, transportation farecards and ancillary therapy.
