Program areas at Northland Hospice
Patient care program-provides medical, psychological and spiritual servicesto the terminally ill and their families and loved ones. No patient isever denied care bacause of inability to pay. Level of medical care rangefrom home care assistance to skilled nursing and include durable medical supplies and medications. Psychological support support is also offered.
Bereavement program-offers support services to Hospice patient families andthe community at large for those coping with a loss. Support groups areprovided specific to the needs of caregivers as well as age-specificbereavement groups for children through adults. Education is also providedto health care professionals and para-professionals, caregivers and thecommunity at large in care of the dying and bereaved.
Hospice home program-provides a home environment at the olivia whitehospice house to patients facing end-of-life issues complicated by the lackof adequate care giving arrangements. The Hospice home surrounds them withcare 24 hours a day by a staff of certified and supportive caregivers.
