We developed technologies and products involving aids diagnosis testing in underdeveloped countries. Specifically ,research equipment development expenses were incurred for the wildcat platform viral load project, the lynx p24 project, and the tablet project. In collaboration with Northwestern university and quidel corporation nwghf is developing the widcat platform, which is an automated, fully integrated, inexpensive molecular testing platform to enable low-cost hiv viral testing in africa. The lynx p24 project is being conducted in collaboration with Northwestern university. Nwghf is developing a new point of care test device that is intended to detect hiv infection in infants 4 weeks to 18 months of age from mothers with hiv positive infection status. In collaboration with the Foundation for innovative new diagnostics, we are deteriming the feasiblity of adapting an existing hcv core ag assay to the lynx platform for diagnosis of the hepatitis c virus. Nwghf has entered into a subcontract agreement with Northwestern university wherby Northwestern university agrees to perform the necessary research for the purpose stated above
