Northwoods Pregnancy Care Center

The Center first opened its doors on december 17th, 2012. Fundraising is ongoing and there were fundraising events in 2023 including the spring baby bottle campaign and the annual fall banquet. The mission of the Center is to affirm the value of life by providing compassionate Care grounded in biblical truth. This is accomplished by providing a variety of supportive services including Pregnancy testing, fetal doppler exams, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, and limited sti testing. Additional support services included engaging clients in the "hope program" by means of providing educational lessons that equip parents to be successful while they earn needed material items for their children, offering monthly Care packages that provide for children's basic needs including diapers and wipes, and implementing our safe sleep program in which our clients receive safe sleep education and a safe place for their baby to sleep with a new pack n' play. Client advocates are equipped and available to meet with clients in both crisis and non-crisis pregnancies. Mom's monthly support groups are held at the Center and infant/miscarriage loss support groups are available as needed. Community networking is ongoing and community awareness of the Pregnancy Center is increasing significantly. In 2023, there were over 4 volunteers with more than 586 hours of volunteer time. The number of appointments in 2023 was 1,100, an all-time high.
